it's beginning to look a lot like christmas...

whoa. it' december.  it' halfway through december.  christmas is less than two weeks away!  when did that happen?  i know all of you in the states have been seeing christmas products in stores for about 3.5 years now (maybe more like months, but these days...).  well, christmas has come to south asia.  some of the local stores are selling decorations.  i bought a tree and some ornaments to put on it.  christmas or, as it is sometimes referred to here, december 25, is not commercialized to the same level as it is in the states, but commercialization is about the only reason it exists here.  praise the father for commercialization!  if i were in the states this season, i think i might be flipping out about all of the money spent on decorations and such (and there are some levels where i'm really not okay with the excess), but i thank the father for commercialization.  why?  because people know christmas exists.  and when that knowledge is in people's heads they ask questions about christmas.  and i love getting to talk about christmas!
on a lighter note, it is beginning to feel more like christmas.  it's cold (by south asian standards) at night.  i made a caramel latte last night with my nifty stove-top espresso maker (notice there is no x in espresso).  i have a tree.  and my wonderful mom sent me some peppermint bark and other wonderful seasonal goodies from one of my favorite stores in the states.  and with the "cold," i wear ridiculous amounts of clothing. take a look...

so... i'm not a huge fan of this video.  i almost remade it, but then i saw how the words aren't synced right.  this happened to a friend of mine recently too.  she said it looks like a bad martial arts movie.  i agree.
